Spikes of small white flowers are characteristic of Culver's Root. This late season bloomer reaches heights of 3 to 6 feet and is particularly attractive to bees and butterflies.

Bloom times range from July through September and it works well in full sun to partial shade.

This perennial species grows well in the wetter areas of your landscape.

How To Plant Culver's Root Seeds:

Direct sow seeds into prepared soil in late fall once soil temps are below 50 degrees (usually mid to late November). Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze/thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in. Plant in full sun (at least 6 hours a day). Can take two to three growing seasons to fully establish.
