Quit trying to mow those wet areas of your yard. Our Too Wet to Mow Mix is a combination of native grasses and wildflowers that grow in wet areas that receive partial shade to full sun (at least 4 hours of sunlight a day). Areas that were once a problem become filled with native species that can reach heights of 3 to 4 feet on average, with some species getting as tall as five feet. The deep root systems of native plants help filter water through the soil reducing runoff and flooding.  Wildflowers attract birds, bee, pollinators and more!

Some things to remember:

Native plant communities can take up to three growing seasons to fully establish. The Partridge Pea and Tickseed Sunflower in this mix are annual wildflowers that will help provide first year color.

Make sure you don't seed this mix into standing water. These species need good seed to soil contact.

Because your area is wetter, soil temperatures may remain cooler throughout the growing season. This may mean slower establishment.
