Goldenrods are the heroes of late season pollinator plants! Because of its short stature, Old Field Goldenrod works well in a perennial garden or a traditional landscape. Look for it to bloom from July to October, and while it flowers be a landing pad for native bees, honey bees and butterflies.
Old Field Goldenrod prefers full sun to shade and favors drier soils.

How To Plant Old Field Goldenrod Seeds:
Direct sow seeds into prepared soil in late fall once soil temps are below 50 degrees (usually mid to late November). Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze / thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in. Plant in full sun to shade. Can take two to three growing seasons to fully establish.
