Cup Plant is tall, erect perennial plant, growing 3 to 8 feet high, on stems that are stout, square in cross-section and smooth and unbranched below the flowers.
Flowers are bright yellow blooming in mid summer. It is adapted to moist soils and full sun situations.

How To Plant Cup Plant:
Direct sow seeds into prepared soil in late fall once soil temps are below 50 degrees (usually mid to late November). Can also be planted in winter during natural freeze / thaw cycles and early spring. Plant shallow, no deeper than 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep and lightly rake to work seed in. Plant in full sun to partial shade. Can take two to three growing seasons to fully establish.
