Regionally adapted open pollinated native wildflowers and grasses make up this mix developed by us and approved by our friends at The Xerces Society. This blend, appropriate for Ohio, Indiana, Western Pennsylvania and Western New York, provides nectar and food sources for numerous pollinators and larva. Wildflowers were selected to continuously bloom and provide forage areas all season long, while grasses add diversification, structure and habitat to round out out the mix. Our partnership with The Xerces Society ensures that your seed mix is neonicotinoid and pesticide free and provides a safe habitat for all regionally important pollinators.

Some things to remember:

This mix of native grasses and wildflowers will need at least three growing seasons to fully establish. There are some annuals included in the mix for first year color and foraging for pollinators.

This mix will need at least 6 hours of sunlight a day and performs best when planted in well-drained soils. Finished height once established range from 3 to 5 feet.

This mix is great for beekeepers! It contains wildflowers that bloom at different times of the growing season to provide foraging.

Pure Live Seed is a measure of viable seed stated as a percentage. It is the product of total germination times purity.

Broadcast Seeding is the process of sowing seed by hand. The seeds are sprinkled into the soil and can be lightly raked in to ensure germination.

This mix of native grasses and wildflowers typically grows to a height of 3 to 5 feet. Please note that each site is unique and that several factors can affect overall height. These factors include sunlight, hydrology and overall soil health.
